Gottesman Rink Opening Day Celebration

11:00am—11:30 am: Curious about our Learn to Skate program? Try it for free!

We’re offering a complimentary 30-minute group lesson so you can experience what our Learn to Skate program is all about. Led by United States Figure Skating–certified coaches, this session gives skaters of all ages and abilities a chance to get comfortable on the ice before signing up for a full series of classes this winter.

Skate rentals are included. Dress warmly, wear gloves, and for safety, we recommend bringing a helmet (helmets are not available to rent).

For schedules, pricing, and registration for full Learn to Skate sessions, visit our Learn to Skate page.

12:00pm—5:00pm: Public Skating with a Live DJ.

Join friends, family, neighbors, and fellow skaters of all ages to welcome back winter fun in Central Park! Enjoy music from a live DJ and special appearances by playful costumed characters. Register for one of three 80-minute skating sessions.

Don't skate? Come anyway!

The indoor gathering space at the Davis Center is free and open to the public daily. On opening day, stop by from 12:00 pm–5:00 pm for Community Day to grab a bite, pick up some free swag, watch the skating, and soak up the excitement.

We’ll also be featuring a special performance on the ice at 11:50 am from a surprise guest. All are welcome to watch!
